What God says about
The youth of today
There are many challenges facing the youth today that were not present in the days of old. We've got
to bring basic family values and morals back into the family as expected by God. Peer pressure has
become so great that the youth of today are literally making life and death choices in the friendships
they choose. While others are simply falling victim of depression and all sorts of emotional disorders.
The enemy has declared war on our children and he's winning. The youth have no idea what's hit
them. They are crying out for help. Clearly self mutilation is a sign of demonic presence. Depression
has become the norm for teenage girls & boys. Child psychiatry is over crowded with 3 to 6 month
waiting list. You've got to ask yourself, what's happening? Surely this is much more difficult on our
children, they are living this nightmare. Mind controlling drugs is the solution according to the
medical profession. These drugs have the potential for dangerous side affects that are greater than
the diagnosis for which they are prescribed. God never intended for our children to live this way. It
is up to us, the parents to declare war on satan and break every strong hold that has put our children
in such bondage. We are far to passive when it comes to fighting back. Greater is He that is in us
than he that is in this world. We have been given all power over the enemy so what are we doing?
God has already said they are a chosen generation, His special people. He has planned their lives
perfectly and without looking to Him, we will miss the opportunity of raising them the way they
should go.

God wants the youth to be strong in Him so they will be able to call on Him  in times of trouble. His
word and Holy Spirit will help them through the tough times. He wants them to come to Him with
their troubles, no matter what they might be because He cares for them. He wants to give them rest
and assurance they do not have to be afraid. It's our job to teach them.
                     What God's word says about:
Low Self-Esteem

1Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special
people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous
light.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and
not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Anxiety

1Peter 5:7 Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.

Matthew 11:28 Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Philippians 4:6&7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with
thanksgiving, let your request be known to God.7 and the peace of God which surpasses all
understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
